Welcome to The Seawall

Frankly, the Coast needed this.

There’s a lot happening across Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock counties — new businesses, local moves, events, city decisions, and the kind of small stories that end up mattering more than people think.

That’s where The Seawall comes in.

This is a new twice-weekly newsletter built for people who live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, work here, run businesses here, and want a cleaner read on what’s actually going on.

No fluff. No bloated roundup. No digging through ten tabs to figure out what matters.

Just a sharp local read, twice a week.

Coast Forecast

Jackson County: Warm Coast weather with a mix of sun, clouds, and a chance of pop-up showers.

Harrison County: Mild to warm conditions, some humidity, and the usual possibility of changing skies.

Hancock County: Expect a typical spring day on the Coast — comfortable early, warmer later, with a chance of scattered rain.

Translation: dress for the Coast, keep an eye on the sky, and don’t trust the morning weather to hold all day.

Pet Adoption of the Week

This week, we’re spotlighting the local shelters and rescues doing the work every day across the Coast.

If you’ve been thinking about bringing home a dog or cat, check with your nearest shelter in Jackson, Harrison, or Hancock County and give one of those animals a shot at a better life.

We’ll feature a specific adoptable pet in future issues.

Low Tide Laughs

This week’s installment: a heron, a fish, and the kind of local disappointment you can only respect.

Low Tide Laughs #1 — “Third Tuesday in a row.”
